These terms govern your use of successiongroup.co.za, operated by Succession Group. By creating an account, submitting a listing, or otherwise using our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Succession Group operates an online marketplace that connects business owners preparing to sell or transition their business ("Sellers") with prospective buyers ("Buyers"). We also provide self-service tools to generate an indicative estimate of a business's value ("Quick Valuation" and "Detailed Valuation").
We are not a party to any transaction between a Buyer and a Seller. We do not guarantee that any listing will result in a sale, or that any valuation estimate reflects the price a business would actually achieve.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Accounts are intended for individuals aged 18 or older.
If you submit a business listing, you confirm that:
All listings submitted for review are checked by our team before being published. We may decline to publish, or may remove, any listing at our discretion, including where we believe the information provided is inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise does not meet our standards. Listings published using the "Upload Listing" option go live immediately without this review, and will not display a Verified Listing badge.
A listing displays a "Verified Listing" badge only once it has been reviewed and approved by our team. This badge indicates that the listing has passed our review process; it is not a guarantee of the accuracy of the underlying financial information, nor a recommendation to buy.
The Succession Score shown on some listings is an automated, indicative estimate generated from the information and documents provided with that listing. It is not an independent audit or a professional opinion of value, and should not be relied upon as such.
Financial documents uploaded with a listing are used by our team to help verify the accuracy of that listing. They are not published publicly. Where a Premium membership is available, Premium members may be granted access to view a listing's underlying financial documents; access outside of this is not provided.
Our Quick Valuation and Detailed Valuation tools generate an indicative range based on the figures and answers you provide. These results are estimates only, generated algorithmically, and do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. You should not rely on a valuation estimate as the sole basis for any business or financial decision, and we recommend seeking independent professional advice before buying or selling a business.
If you enquire about a listing, you agree to use that contact only for genuine, good-faith interest in the business described. You may not use enquiries to send unsolicited marketing, harass a Seller, or misrepresent your identity or intentions.
Certain features, such as listing packages or Premium membership, may require payment. Fees, where applicable, are shown at the point of purchase. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store your card details.

The website's design, branding, and tools are owned by Succession Group. Content you submit (such as listing text, photos, and documents) remains yours; by submitting it, you grant us a licence to display it on the website for the purpose of operating the marketplace.
The website and its tools are provided "as is". We do not warrant that valuation estimates are accurate, that listings are complete or error-free, or that the website will be uninterrupted or fault-free. Nothing on this website constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice, and no advisor-client, broker-client, or fiduciary relationship is created simply through use of the website.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Succession Group will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, including losses arising from a business transaction between a Buyer and a Seller, or reliance on a valuation estimate.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
